Meet Kenyata B. Jackson

Kenyata B. Jackson
Founder of Affirm Your Path Counseling & Consulting

I created Affirm Your Path Counseling & Consulting from lived experience, not just education.

I know what it feels like to carry everything at once. To be strong for everyone else while quietly trying to hold yourself together. To advocate for your child, manage responsibilities, navigate emotional stress, and still wonder when you will have space to breathe. I understand the exhaustion that comes from feeling unheard, overwhelmed, and unsure of what the next step should be.

There were seasons in my life where I was constantly pushing forward while carrying emotional weight behind the scenes. I was advocating, showing up, learning systems, and trying to protect my peace at the same time. I know what it feels like to question yourself, to feel alone in difficult decisions, and to want support without feeling judged or misunderstood.

Through those experiences, I began to understand how many people are silently struggling. Parents navigating school systems and IEP meetings. Individuals trying to heal while still surviving. People searching for clarity but feeling stuck under the pressure of life. I realized that many people do not need someone to fix them. They need someone who understands, listens, and helps them move forward with confidence.

My background in criminal justice, combined with my training in clinical mental health counseling, shaped my ability to understand both systems and people. But what truly drives this work is my lived experience as a mother, advocate, and individual committed to healing and growth. I understand the emotional weight of advocating for your child, the frustration of feeling unheard, and the desire to create a better path forward.

Affirm Your Path Counseling & Consulting was created to provide a supportive space for individuals and families navigating emotional challenges, life transitions, and advocacy needs. My goal is to help you gain clarity, feel supported, and move forward with confidence. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, advocating for your child, or ready to grow into your next chapter, you do not have to navigate it alone.

This work is personal to me because I understand what it means to carry a lot while still trying to become more. I believe that with the right support, clarity, and space to process, people can reconnect with their strength and move forward in a way that feels aligned and empowering.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just need a place to start.
